Timed practice sets inspired by common exam patterns — not official papers. Educational practice only — not affiliated with any exam board.
About the site
What is Best Quizzes?
A free timed MCQ practice desk for PPSC, CSS, NTS, PMS-style prep. You pick a module or Daily Drop, see the question count and time, then attempt under a clock with instant feedback where available.
Are you affiliated with PPSC, FPSC, CSS, or NTS?
No. Educational practice only — not affiliated with any exam board. Always confirm dates, syllabi, and rules from official commission notices.
Are these exact official past papers?
No. Timed practice sets inspired by common exam patterns. We do not upload scanned official paper PDFs. Treat quizzes as gym work, not the hall paper itself.
Is the site free?
Yes. Core practice, guides, and lessons are free. Ads may appear on content pages (hub, guides, lessons, About, FAQs) to keep the lights on. Timed exam screens stay ad-free, and that does not change the “no account required” model.
Quizzes & scoring
Why don’t I get the whole question bank in one go?
Each start gives a sized sample — about three-quarters of the bank (nearest multiple of 5), capped at 100 questions. On the briefing screen you can pick a shorter length: less time means fewer questions at the same pace (~30 seconds each). Repeat later for a fresh cut.
How is time decided?
Default is about 30 seconds per question for the full sample. If you pick a shorter length on the Best of luck screen, both the clock and the question count drop together so the pace stays fair.
How does scoring work?
After you pick, we show Correct or Incorrect right away, and the right letter if you missed it. Explanations are free for the first 10 questions of each attempt; later explanations stay locked for Premium (coming soon). After submit you get a full answer review with the same rules.
Can I change an answer after I pick one?
No. Answers lock on select so you practise commitment under pressure. After five seconds you auto-advance (last question waits until you submit). The timer still auto-submits at zero.
What does my percentage mean?
It is feedback on that sample only — not an official cut-off. Compare your own attempts over time. For real cut-offs, read the commission advertisement.
Does it work well on mobile?
Yes. The hub, briefing, timer, and review are built for phones as well as desktops. Keep one tab open during a quiz so the clock stays clean. A modern Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge browser is enough.
Will there be ads?
Maybe on content pages (home, guides, lessons, About, FAQs, practice hub) to keep the site free. Timed /take exam screens stay ad-free. You can accept or decline personalised ads when the consent banner appears, and change that later in Privacy.
Where is my data stored?
Progress, Daily Drop marks, and animation preferences stay in your browser’s local storage on this device. We do not require an account. Contact messages go to our inbox via the form; quiz answers are not sold for ad targeting. See Privacy for details.
Daily Drop
What is Daily Drop?
A short mixed set — 10 MCQs in 5 minutes. Each start shuffles a fresh mix so you are not stuck on the same pattern.
Can I attempt Daily Drop more than once?
Yes. The first finish marks the day in this browser; extra runs get a new shuffle and are fine for revision.
Where is my streak stored?
On your device (browser storage). Clear site data or switch browsers and the local streak/progress will not follow you.
Progress & privacy
Do I need an account?
No. Progress and Daily marks stay in localStorage on this browser. You can export or clear them from the Progress page.
Do you sell my quiz answers?
No. We do not run user accounts for profiles, and quiz answers are not sold for ad targeting. See Privacy for cookies/ads details if AdSense is enabled later.
Why did I get blocked?
Automated rate limits protect the service from scraping-style traffic. Shared Wi‑Fi or VPNs can trip this. Wait it out or contact us if it looks wrong.
Guides & study
What are the Lessons for?
Worked-example pages with original MCQs and full explanations you can read without starting a timer. They are teaching items written for this site — not dumps from anyone else’s booklet.
What are the Guides for?
Short coaching notes — pacing, analogies, Daily habits, quiz size, and a practical PPSC vs CSS GK split. Read one, then practise. They are original notes, not a leaked paper pack.
Should I study PPSC and CSS the same way?
Share a GK core, then branch. PPSC-style work often needs timed MCQ speed by post type. CSS needs wider reading and written recall too. Details are in the PPSC vs CSS guide.
Technical
Which browsers work best?
Current Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari. Keep the tab open during a quiz so the timer and lock behaviour stay clean.
Something looks wrong after an update
Hard-refresh once (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R). If a page chunk fails to load, reload — the app will try to recover automatically.
How do I report a bad question?
Email us from Contact with the module name, question text (short), and what looks wrong. Corrections help everyone.
